Dr. Vincent Gauthier

Dr. Gauthier earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal in 2007. He then completed an Internship in Applied Veterinary Sciences (IPSAV) at the same institution in 2008.

After working for one year as an Emergency and Critical Care Clinician at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, he continued his training through a specialty internship in Internal Medicine at the DMV Veterinary Centre, which he completed in 2010. He then pursued a residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Guelph in Ontario while simultaneously earning a Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) degree in 2013.

Dr. Gauthier has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) since 2013. That same year, he joined the team at the Centre Vétérinaire Laval (CVL), where he helped establish and develop the Intensive Care Unit.

In 2019, he also obtained a certificate in Extracorporeal Therapies from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Gauthier is the author of several scientific publications and numerous book chapters published in leading veterinary medicine reference texts.
