Dr. Valence Vieillevigne

Martin Gagné
v.m., IPSAV
Veterinarian
As if he was our own!

Dr. Valence Vieillevigne has been part of our team since 2015. Every day, she makes a difference in our team and in your pets’ lives through her dynamism and her softness.

“My attraction to emergency and critical care management drew me to work in an emergency and referral centre. I love being able to work as a team with passionate veterinary colleagues and dedicated specialists to provide the best possible care to my patients. In the ER, I am fortunate to be exposed to the many facets of my profession on a daily basis: critical care, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, surgery, etc.”

Dr. Vieillevigne obtained her PhD from the École Nationale de Lyon, France, in 2014. She completed a postgraduate internship in applied veterinary sciences (IPSAV) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Montreal the following year. In 2015, Dr. Vieillevigne passed the North American Equivalency Diploma Examination (NAVLE) to continue working as a veterinarian in North America. After her internship, she worked as an emergency and intensive care clinician at the same location, and then joined the team at the Centre Vétérinaire Rive-Sud in 2015. In 2021, Dr. Vieillevigne joined the team at the Centre Vétérinaire Laval.

She co-authored a book on veterinary oncology of cats and dogs, Cancérologie clinique du chien et du chat, published in January 2021 by Health Initiative.
