“The most important aspect in my job is to be able to offer optimal care to all my patients, while minimizing the stress this can cause. It’s very important to me that my patients leave with a positive experience, even if they have to go under the knife! For me, communication with owners is just as important as quality medicine. I work as a team with them to make the best possible decisions for their families.
I decided to specialize in surgery so that I could develop more advanced skills and offer my patients more comprehensive care. It’s a discipline that demands precision, but also a certain reactivity in the face of emergencies, which I find particularly stimulating!”
Dr. Savard received her doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Université de Montréal in 2019. She completed an advanced internship in applied veterinary sciences (IPSAV) at the same location in 2020, a specialized internship in surgery at the Centre Vétérinaire Rive-Sud in 2021, and then completed her residency in specialized surgery at the same location in 2025. Dr. Savard joins our team at the Centre Vétérinaire Montréal in the same year.
